Hello everyone,

I own an IDF Y13 2020 edition PC, I tried to add a new SSD hard drive, and since then my computer won't start. I've tried everything:
Removing the new hard drive, pressing the power button for 2 minutes, plugging in the charger and then pressing the power button, but nothing works.

The hard drive works well in another PC without any issues.

Do you have any solutions?

Thank you

Hello,
Did you previously have an HDD? Is this SSD properly connected, are the pins fitting well? You need to initialize it from Disk Management the first time!

P.S.: screenshot of Disk Management please with the SSD connected!

Hello Quentin, my PC won't turn on at all. I can't do anything. When I plug in the charger, the LED stays off...

I think I'm not the only one with this problem.

Right before connecting the SSD, everything was working perfectly. Once the PC was off and I connected the SSD, it no longer starts
..... I removed the hard drive and got the same result. It seems like the PC has entered some sort of safe mode or something.

The new SSD is already disconnected; however, I don't know where the 64 GB one that came with it is and how to disconnect it.

You need to open the beast and look in the various compartments where it is located and disconnect it!

Hello Quentin

Unfortunately, it won't restart anymore.

I'm bummed.

I found that the battery no longer works after installing a strange SSD. When I unplug it and just plug in the charger, it starts... Now what should I do?

I'm replying to myself as it might help others.

I've solved my issue.

Steps:
1-I took apart the back of the laptop
2-I disconnected the battery (removed the connector)
3-I reconnected the charger
4-I restarted the laptop
5-I reconnected the battery (carefully to avoid any electrical issues)
6-I left my laptop like this for 2 hours so the battery could charge

And after that everything went back to normal; in my opinion, my motherboard didn't like a 1TB SSD, so I'll be using it with a 512GB micro SD.

Thanks Quentin for your responses and help

Once restarted, I

Hi!
What is the model of your motherboard? An SSD is faster than an SD card.
