Unable to display the image

Hello,

I created a slideshow on PowerPoint. I saved it, then I closed the software. I reopened it within seconds, but unfortunately all the images are no longer displaying; instead, it says: "Unable to display the image" with a red cross in a white box. Is it possible to display the images again? I didn't do anything between closing the software and reopening it...

    Can you describe in detail, and without forgetting anything, all the steps you took to obtain this image?
    I'm wondering if you didn't download it from the Internet, checking the option "with link" ...

      Hello! Thank you for your reply. I went to "Insert" then "Insert Picture," and I chose an image that I already had in a folder on my computer's hard drive.
