Hello, I looked on the forum but I can't find an answer to my problem,
I acquired a Crucial MX500 SSD but when I try to initialize it I get an error from the Virtual Disk Manager notifying me "A device that does not exist was specified, I tried repairing it with the Diskpart command prompt but nothing works.
Even when I install new software to redo the DMR, the software does not recognize the SSD.
Without a solution, I would like to know if any knowledgeable or expert people could help me! Thank you for your attention.

Hello Frazyr, I had the same problem as you and I managed to get rid of it by pure chance. I don't know if this works all the time, but it doesn’t hurt to try
1. First, in the Windows search bar type "Device Manager"
2. Then look for the category "Disk drives" (or maybe hard disk, but for me it’s Disk drives)
3. When you click on the little arrow, the list of your drives will be displayed
the drive you want to repair should be called unknown device or unknown peripheral (something with "unknown")
4. Finally, right-click on the faulty drive and choose the option
"Scan for hardware changes"
Note: The manipulation was done on an internal hard drive just like in your case and not on an external one as in most cases where this problem is encountered
