Hello everyone.

Since the Windows 10 update, my USB ports are not working properly. Even with the fixes applied via official Windows tutorials (driver search, restart, disabling and then re-enabling the port...), nothing works.

For your information, the drivers are reported as up to date by Windows nonetheless.

And in the driver properties, I have this text:

Windows cannot load the device driver for this hardware because a previous instance of this device driver is still in memory. (Code 38)

The driver could not be loaded because a previous version of the driver is still in memory.

No matter which USB stick, none are recognized after use, and the latest error is a "Kernel PNP 411" error:

The USB device USB\VID_058F&PID_6387\95B84ABA encountered a startup problem.

Driver name: usbstor.inf

Class GUID: {36fc9e60-c465-11cf-8056-444553540000}

Service: USBSTOR

Upper Filters:

Problem: 0x26

Problem Status: 0xC000038E

Thank you in advance for your help.

Hello.

I’m reaching out to you because, despite having uninstalled the USB bus controllers and restarted my computer, as well as adding the latest updates and their patches, the problem persists: is there anyone who can help me resolve this painful issue?

Thank you in advance.
