Bonjour, will a headphone connection to the optical output of the Freebox POP intended for home cinema work? Yes? No? Are the TV speakers muted when the headphones are plugged in? Thank you.

Hello,
It would be good to know the references (brand and model) of this headset.
If the headset has an optical input, there’s no problem connecting it to the optical output of the Freebox Pop.
Since it won’t be connected to the TV’s headphone output, it won’t cut off the speakers.
You will probably need to activate the optical output of the Pop via its menu.
Note: There are televisions that can have both the headset and TV speakers working simultaneously.
Knowing, in this case, the references of the TV would provide more information.
However, as mentioned in message #1, if this headset doesn’t have an optical input, then you will need an Optical IN/RCA or headphone Out adapter with or without volume control, depending on the model of the headset.

Anyway, you have the solution for the optical jack, and for less than 9 euros, I can't offer you anything better.
