Hello,

What if it were true...
Would there be a tutorial or guide, some simple advice, to properly configure a new PC for the first time (Windows 11 Pro)?
The idea being to primarily work locally and not in the Cloud.
According to some information, it is advisable to first create a local account before a Microsoft account? With different names? Should a separate email address be used solely for the Microsoft account?
Etc... very unclear.
Thank you for your help.

Configuration: Windows 11 Pro / Firefox 96.0

First of all, if you are connected to the Internet via cable, unplug it, and click on I don't have Internet at the appropriate time during the initial setup.

You will connect to the Internet later.

    Hello,

I am still stuck on starting a new WINDOWS 11 Pro PC.

1 I would like to start without a Microsoft account: Is that possible?

2 On the screen, a first page appears: "How would you like to set up this device" (either personal use - that's my case -- or work or school. I respond with the first option.

Then a second page appears: "Add your Microsoft account" and what should I do there?

    Thank you in advance.

    Thank you!
Regarding Windows, it looks a bit similar but not completely in terms of screens.
This is a DELL with the command as on the invoice 619-APWY Windows 11 Professional,
Moreover, how can I avoid being connected to the Internet: I can't see anything on the keyboard, I don't know some keys and I don't want to try...
    Thank you

Unplug the Internet cable and do not connect to the WiFi.

I don't have an internet cable
    I'm only on wifi
what I don't know is whether this new PC is already connected: how to find out?

For now, I've made some progress
I've created a username, a "fake" email address, answered 3 security questions
the page I'm on is asking me
"allow Microsoft and apps to use your location" yes or no? What are the advantages and disadvantages of saying YES (being tracked constantly and having your info hacked?) and especially the disadvantages of saying NO?
    Thank you

    I respond no everywhere.

If you haven't connected to your network, you are not connected.

When you are in Windows, prepare a USB drive to reinstall Windows, because it won't go well if it asks you for your fake address password to start Windows...

Use the tool to create a USB drive to reinstall Windows

    https://www.microsoft.com/fr-fr/software-download/windows11

Boot from it using the PC's Boot Menu

    https://www.malekal.com/liste-touches-acces-bios-boot-menu-constructeur/

If you don't see it, you can search on Google "[Brand Model] Boot Menu Key"

    Choose "Custom Installation" (Not Upgrade)

Delete all system partitions and create a new one (This will delete the data).
