Hello,
Here's the problem I'm facing:
A friend gave me his old amplifier Denon AVR 1705. I have a 5.1 system connected to it, my Playstation 4 slim is connected to the TV via HDMI, and there is an optical connection from my TV to the Denon (there is no HDMI output on the amp).
I do everything with my Playstation 4, YouTube, DVD, Blu-ray, etc.
What I would like is to have the sound from my console on my amp through the optical connection.
Despite a good connection (I assume), optical output 1 from the amp set to TV mode which is connected to the TV, I can't get the sound from my console that is sent to my TV via HDMI and then sent to my amp via optical cable.
My TV is a Grundig 40VLE6142C.

Hello,
In the TV sound menu, there should be a conversation to activate the optical output.
Translation of the manual in Romanian page 47:Audio format setting
You can select whether the audio signal output from the "OpticOut" socket will be in PCM or AC2 format.
1 Open the menu using "MENU".
2 Select the "SOUND SETTINGS" menu item using "V" or "Λ" and press "OK" to confirm.
- The "SOUND SETTINGS" menu appears.
3 Select "Audio output configuration" using "V" or "Λ" and press "OK" to confirm.
- The menu appears.
4 Select "Optical output" using "V" or "Λ".
5 Select the desired audio format ("PCM" or "Auto") using "<" or ">".
Very difficult to catch a black cat in a dark room.
Especially when it's not there...
