Hello,
I just bought an Acer ACER A C27/I3/4/256 PC running Windows 10 (64-bit), which does not have a CD-ROM slot.
To use my Canon Pixma MG 3150 printer, I downloaded the driver. After many attempts, the printer cannot be detected; it remains inactive. What could be the reasons?
Thank you for your help, I have quite a few documents to print.
Best regards,
MCC
Configuration: Windows / Edge 97.0.1072.62

Hello,
yes, indeed your printer was not very young, but it was working ;) It's a shame that manufacturers and Microsoft do not take into account the impacts of not updating their drivers. What bad faith and what hypocrisy!!!....:((
Have a good day,

Hello,
are these the drivers you downloaded? : https://www.canon.fr/support/consumer_products/products/fax__multifunctionals/inkjet/pixma_mg_series/pixma_mg3150.html?type=drivers&driverdetailid=tcm%3A79-869002&os=windows+10+%2864-bit%29&language=fr#disclaimer
How would you like to install your printer? wired or wireless?

Hello,
Thank you for your response, yes these are indeed the drivers I downloaded.
I checked the settings, the new Acer ACER A C27/I3/4/256 PC I bought is running Windows 11.
Actually, my Canon printer purchased in 2013 is not compatible with Windows 10 and Windows 11, but with Windows 8.
I just received an HP printer compatible with Windows 11 from Amazon.
Wait and See ...
Have a great day,

Hello,
Unfortunately, it’s called obsolescence... My Canon printer works perfectly but I have to throw it away!
I’m disgusted, boo hoo.
Have a good day,

Well, I understand you very well; I would also have a hard time if that happened to mine, which is starting to get old...
If you think the issue is closed, please mark it as "resolved."
Have a nice end of the day,
See you!
