Speed test on Cisco router

Hello,
We have a Cisco 2900 router, is there a Cisco command that allows us to test the incoming Internet speed on one of the router's interfaces?
Thank you.

Hello,

Here is the DOC... there are several models of 2900...
https://www.router-switch.com/media/upload/product-pdf/cisco-2900-series-router-datasheet.pdf

It can be said, without notable error, that the outgoing rate is the same as the incoming rate...
Or that the sum of the outgoing rates is equal to the incoming rate...

Typically, a PC is connected via Ethernet (with the 8 conductors in the cable), directly at the router's output... and in a web browser, we go to the site https://www.nperf.com/fr/ and start the test... a little while later, the response is displayed with the download speed, upload speed, latency, and jitter... this test is the most operational and widely used.

For the incoming rate, you would need to do the same at the output of the BOX before the router... by placing a PC in its place... To differentiate between incoming and outgoing, both would need to be done at the same time..

Hi,
I've never seen a command like this on iOS.
There are pings, traceroutes, but nothing to measure throughput to an external server or another router,
all there is are port usage stats, and that's already quite a lot.
Do you have a fiber connection to the internet?
After that, nothing prevents you from doing a speed test on a PC connected to the router.
For incoming throughput, you would need to do the same thing at the output of the BOX before the router... by putting a PC in its place... To differentiate between input and output, both would need to be done at the same time..

In principle, it's this kind of router, the box in question, in a company.

Hi,
I used the site https://www.speedtest.net/en
I ran 4 tests within the same minute, results: 16 Mbps, 28 Mbps, 9 Mbps, then No connection
- After a few minutes, the internet connection comes back. This scenario repeats every few hours.
I am looking for a way to detect the source of the problem, whether it is internal or external!
Thank you.

A simple ping from the router to a website can tell you that; if you let it run continuously, it can also be used for service monitoring.

let's say that attaching the screenshot would be more illustrative... because a bandwidth measurement is not just that...

For non-registered users, you need to upload the screenshot on the site cjoint.com https://cjoint.com/
and then paste the link here, on the forum.

What is the internet provider...? There can be outages... but to know from my computer, it's difficult... we can make hypotheses... it's up to you to check them...

To test connectivity to an address and draw the appropriate actions from it, see the ip sla commands for example
