Hello,
I don't know if I'm in the right place?
A friend suggested that with the Livebox 5, you could separate the 2.4 GHz devices from the 5 GHz devices.
Which is similar to partitioning a computer's hard drive.
How do you do it if it's possible?
Is it possible and beneficial to avoid disconnections or poor reception?
After trying to separate the Wi-Fi into two, can you go back to the original?
Of course, Orange is offering me a Wi-Fi repeater for 89 euros.
I'm not sure it will work properly with the repeater.
Thank you for your response.
I'm sorry if I'm not in the right place.
Bernard.

Hi,
you don't split your wifi into two; you simply create two wifi networks: one at 2.4 GHz and one at 5 GHz.
These operations are reversible.
What’s certain is that the 5 GHz band is less crowded than the 2.4 GHz one, but the devices connecting to this network must be compatible.
In any case, both networks will share the box's internet speed (ADSL or fiber), there’s no miracle.
