Thomson Hero 9.32b tablet won't turn on and beeps

Good evening everyone, I recently decided to restore my Thomson Hero 9.32b tablet which I had broken the glass of, but when I tried to turn it on, it doesn’t have a red LED + a regular “plac” sound is coming from the speaker. Obviously the battery is dead and there is no charging. It was working very well before, I was using it with its keyboard and touchpad.
If you have any ideas or anything, please reply to this message. Thank you in advance.

      I had the same problem and I just managed to unlock it:

      I insisted with the incessant ticking, I unplugged the power supply from time to time, and after a while, it stopped ticking. I thought maybe it had started charging. I waited about 15 minutes and pressed the power button, and there it was, oh miracle, the red light came on and it started. Now I am waiting for it to charge completely...

      The problem is certainly that the battery, which hadn't been used for several years, was completely drained.

      I hope it will be the same for you.

    Hi everyone, I managed to turn it on.
    However, it's a bit of a barbaric technique:
    I stripped the two wires at the back of the tablet, from the battery (the 4 or 5 wires with the plug). The wires I stripped are the first red and the last black cable (both at the opposite ends). I then connected a small 3.7v battery to the red with the red and the black with the black. I then reconnected the plug and plugged in the tablet to charge it. At this point, the red light should turn on and the tablet should as well.
    HYPOTHESIS (for my part):
    The battery was PROBABLY in a deep discharge (strange for this type of battery, maybe a design flaw in the tablet?).
    Or if you don't want to play the mad professor of electricity, you can choose to replace the battery.

    If no one has found a solution besides the one proposed, I’m willing to give it a try (I just need to find a 3.7V battery....).

    And by the way, is it easy to open??
