When I receive a reply to my SMS, I see the time, "read," and a padlock. I would like to know what the padlock means. Best regards and thank you.

    Good evening,
    RCS messages appear in dark blue and SMS/MMS in light blue.
    End-to-end encryption is automatically enabled in conversations that can be encrypted.
    A banner saying "Conversation with contact name or phone number" appears when end-to-end encryption is enabled in a conversation. A padlock icon also appears on the send button of the messages you are composing. This icon is also present next to the timestamp of end-to-end encrypted messages.

    Important: End-to-end encryption is not available for the following messages:
    SMS/MMS messages
    Group messages
