I cannot navigate in the BIOS with my Panasonic FZG1.

Hello,

I have an FZG1 computer and I can't navigate in the BIOS, but I can access it. While trying to find a way to turn off the USB port in the BIOS when it shuts down, I disabled all the USB ports even when the computer is turned on. I wanted to know how I could reactivate the USB port without going into the BIOS, in Windows 7.

    Hello,

    In response to your request, to my knowledge, we cannot intervene in the setup (BIOS) from Windows (and that's a good thing, to avoid risky manipulations like the one discussed here) as it is a protected EEPROM memory.

    You therefore need to access the BIOS using the sequence indicated by billmaxime (whom I greet), where the BIOS setup menu line is shown (see the screenshots), which allows among other things access to the settings for enabling internal devices (including the BIOS ports).

    This is provided that a password has not been set by a previous administrator (for example, to prevent the installation of another OS).

    As for me, I see no other reason to disable USB ports, but I am ready to receive clarification on this matter.

    Finally, if it is possible to disable a function, it means you can "navigate" in the BIOS, and thus reverse a parameter that has been intentionally or accidentally changed.
