Hello,

as you can see from my screenshots, I have this ''white fog'' and I don't know how to get rid of it; it only appears when I use the mouse on the video. Thank you in advance for your responses.

Configuration: Windows / Chrome 96.0.4664.45

Hello,

If I understand correctly what you're saying, it's just the interface of the YouTube player that is designed like that. To enhance the readability of the title and controls.

For me, it's black and not white though... Maybe depending on the theme of your device or YouTube account?

Best regards.

Yes, I would like to make it black or even remove it if you know how to do it?

Hello,

Idea --► HDR screen
Only on Windows 11.
==► Windows 11 screen issue confirmed, fix incoming

If you have noticed color problems in some applications since switching to Windows 11, you are not alone. Many users have reported similar issues to the manufacturer.

Others :
  • Sign in with a YouTube account to verify.
  • Launch the browser in private browsing mode to verify.
  • Disable hardware acceleration.
  • Update the graphics driver.
  • Clear the browser cache.

No, this is not a problem related to Windows 11 because I am on a Mac and I have the same issue.

Before "Up", it would be good to review the solutions proposed by Pistouri.

Hello,

All of the below did not work:
Log in with a YouTube account to verify.
Launch the browser in incognito mode to verify.
Disable hardware acceleration.
Update the graphics driver.
Clear the browser cache.

You didn't specify whether it’s a laptop or a desktop.
For a desktop, reset the display settings to default.
Or check and change the HDMI or VGA cables.
In summary, check the connections.

Brightness
For a laptop
==► Adjust brightness on Windows 10

Give your version of Windows 10:
Keyboard shortcut Windows + R or in the search box on the taskbar type --► winver
Note your version in your next message.
Post a screenshot if you wish.
==► Insert an image into a discussion on CCM
==► Screenshot Windows 10

Which mode does Windows 10 have?
==► How to tell if the version of Windows 10 supports the mode

If the problem is recent, a system restore to a previous date is still an option.
But you need to have one!
==► System restore for Windows 10: the easy method

Update the browser.
For example:
With Chrome, a new version has been released, Chrome 97.
Same with Firefox, Firefox 96 released today.

Hello,
I have a tower, I watch my videos on OperaGX. It's been since the second new update.
I have Windows 10 Pro, the PC is probably no longer under warranty but this bug doesn't exist with Firefox, Chrome, Brave, or OPERA at all ^^...^
I did as instructed, updates (GPU,...), hardware acceleration,... I'm going to try to find the previous version of the browser to test it, have a good day

Try disabling the "Force Dark Mode" option in the browser (right-click menu while on YouTube).

Hello,

Launch Windows Update; there is an update for Windows 10.
It is KB5009543.
Source.

For OperaGX, wait for the next update instead of downgrading.

Or you can uninstall OperaGX and reinstall it.

Or try with Opera.
