Hello
I have an HP laptop that is slow...
It's an HP Notebook - 17-x500ng
Processor: Intel® Celeron® N3060 (1.6 GHz, up to 2.48 GHz, 2 MB cache, 2 cores)
4 GB DDR3L-1600 SDRAM
Intel® HD Graphics 400
Hard drive: 1 TB 5400 rpm SATA
It runs on Windows 10 Home 64-bit
I've already reset the operating system but it doesn't change much
Any advice for me ???????? ? In case I increase the RAM will it make a difference or should I downgrade to an earlier version of Windows ??
Thank you in advance

    Hi,

A 2.5" HDD can be replaced with a 2.5" SSD
With 8GB of RAM, you would be better off than with 4GB.

      Hello
thanks for replying, well I don't really want to invest in another HDD since I don't spend much time on this laptop, I work on my DESKTOP PC.. so I'm going to add another RAM stick hoping that it will make a difference,

It should basically be the same model as the other one, so first take it apart and see if there is actually a second slot, and check the reference of the first one to buy the second. You can probably easily find a single one on eBay, old and rare, etc.

    Hi,

Trash, it's useless, I've always said that this type of phone shouldn't exist...
otherwise, as Fabul points out, it's the only thing possible to do something about it.

you are right, it's stupid to make a laptop with that kind of processor...
the person who got this laptop didn't know much about computers, they were told that it's a 2017 model so they thought it was super powerful '-_-
      anyway, thank you
