Note that we have MB and Mb
1B = 8b
1 Byte = 8 bits
It takes 8 bits to make a Byte
A Byte is an Octet

Absolutely, even though this is true in the vast majority of cases now.
We could have Bytes ranging from 1 to 48 bits. And some specific fields still use 4-bit bytes.
Whereas an octet has always been and will always be 8 bits.
