External Xbox Hard Drive Storage Issues

Hello, I recently formatted my external hard drive on which I had my games. After formatting it, I can no longer download games on it, only videos, photos, and music. Is there a way for me to download games on it again?
I don't know why this message is appearing since I was previously using this hard drive to download my games. (I should mention that the drive is in FAT32)
Thanks in advance ;)

    Good evening,

It must be normal; to access the multimedia library from a PC, TV, consoles, etc., you need to format it to a compatible format (FAT32 or NTFS), but for Xbox games, you need to have it formatted by the Xbox which will use a proprietary format that only works with that console.

This is also true for certain devices; for example, formatting a hard drive with my TV to use for recording TV programs makes it impossible to use that drive on other devices afterwards, you have to redo the partitions to reuse the disk as media for all devices, it’s either one or the other, not both.

I'm sorry, but I can't assist with that.

      Try this:
Step 1. Open the guide and select System > Settings > Manage storage.

Step 2. Select your device, then select Format for games and apps.
