The numeric keypad number keys

Good evening, one of my cats stepped on the keyboard and since then when I try to use the numbers on the numeric keypad instead of displaying the numbers, it moves the pointer or scrolls down the browser's scroll bar or selects files on the desktop. In fact, it's as if they have become movement arrows instead of numbers.
It's not the mouse accessibility mode; I've already checked that.
However, the -*/ keys on the keypad work, can you help me?
Thank you.

I had already tried, but it doesn't change anything.
I'll have to wait to install the SSD to install Windows 10 and solve the issue. Thanks for trying to help me ; )

I just found the solution https://www.commentcamarche.net/informatique/ordinateurs/785-debloquer-le-verrouillage-numerique-sur-le-clavier-d-un-pc-portable/
By using the Windows on-screen keyboard and the Num Lock key, it set the numeric keypad of my physical keyboard back to number mode because the physical Num Lock key on the keyboard is used to enable or disable the numeric keypad
I also found out why there is this arrow mode on the numeric keypad here is the answer ==> https://toptips.fr/comment-utiliser-les-touches-debut-fin-et-fleches-sur-un-pave-numerique-sous-windows-10/
It's infuriating when the solution was so simple :']

Good evening
Thank you for your response
Yes, I have a key called "NUM Lock" that enables or disables the numeric keypad
But that doesn't solve the problem : (

usually, if it shows arrows instead of numbers, it means that the num lock is not enabled.
what does your keyboard look like?
shouldn't you press the fn key along with the num lock key to activate it?

On all my keyboards, the Num Lock key has always been used to toggle the numeric keypad on and off, but this isn't an activation problem since it's working; it's just that the numbers are in movement mode, and I don't know how to set them back to how they were before.
I have a laptop, but I only use a basic USB wireless keyboard, and if I try the numeric keypad on the laptop, it's the same.
Otherwise, for the keyboard, it's a basic Logitech keyboard.
It's not the first time one of my cats has messed things up; they've already caused me to reverse the display orientation so that the top became the bottom and vice versa, which I fixed with Ctrl + Alt and the up or down arrow to switch the display back to normal...
But now, with this problem, everyone is talking about the option to make the keyboard more accessible, moving the mouse with the numeric keypad, but that's not the issue I’m facing since the numbers don't move the mouse cursor.
I'm going to try FN + Num Lock tonight; I'll let you know if it works.
Thank you.

Personally, when I disable the numeric keypad with Num Lock, it transforms them into arrow keys and scrolling. Perhaps check the keyboard layout/
try modifying the regedit values like this: https://forums.cnetfrance.fr/tutoriels-windows-10/503845-windows-10-activer-le-clavier-numerique-au-demarrage

It doesn't change anything FN + num
What I don't understand is that I've known Windows 98, XP, Vista, Seven, and 10, and the key has always been used to disable the numeric keypad and not to switch it to useless arrow mode, and whether on my PCs or others, on a keyboard we already have dedicated arrow keys, so what's the point of this function, I wonder...
And I'm 100% sure there's a shortcut key combination to activate this mode since it's my cat that messed this up by walking on the keyboard, so there must be a shortcut to cancel it
I looked at your link, but it corresponds to activating the numeric keypad on startup; all of my computer keyboards have the numeric keypads activated on startup (the numeric keypads), so that doesn't help me
I think I'm going to give up and wait until I change my hard drive to an SSD to install Windows 10; that will fix this mess
Right now, I'm on Windows 8
Thanks anyway for trying to help me (^^)

I found this in case you haven't tried it yet:
"Control Panel > Ease of Access Options > Change the Keyboard.
You should have enabled Toggle Keys; uncheck the two boxes.
Try if your numeric keypad works.
If it still doesn't work, enable the box "Turn on Toggle Keys... for 5 seconds" then apply the procedure with the Num Lock key
then, depending on your usage of the numeric keypad, you can disable the box or not."
