Hello,
I used Crystal Disk Info on an external 4TB hard drive that I own, but the issue is that I saw the indication "Caution": C5 Number of unstable sectors: 1

I tried to defragment my hard drive and run chkdsk, but it found nothing

Do you have a solution, please? It bothers me to lose a 4TB hard drive.

    Hello
your external HDD can last for many years (all my backup drives are old system drives)
the read/write frequency is much less aggressive, the R/W phases are often separated
neither defragmentation nor file system test and repair can fix a HDD

I see, I will look into separating the sector, especially since there is only one.

    Hello
the safest option is to replace your disk
    the defective sectors are irreparable
