Good evening! This is my first time addressing a forum, but I can't find an answer to my problem...
I had to create a Facebook account for a specific reason, so I provided my information, etc., so far, so good. The problem is that I don't have two different phones, and therefore my phone number for Facebook was the same as the one used for my Messenger. I thought the two would work in parallel or link up, but in reality, I now have a "new" Messenger linked to my Facebook account and can no longer access the old one!! Do you think it would be possible to recover my Messenger account (even if I have to delete Facebook, that wouldn't be a problem for me)?

Messenger without Facebook no longer exists.
Only old accounts created when it was possible continue to exist, but it is no longer possible to create new ones.
Therefore, any Facebook account created with Messenger login information DELETES the existing account to create a brand new one that will be linked to the new Facebook.
And no, it’s not possible to go back.
