Hello everyone, I hope you are doing well.
I have a quick question. I would like to know if someone knows how to disable the PCI express port on my computer that is currently occupied by my graphics card (RTX 3090). Most of the time I don't need it and it makes a lot of noise. That's why I would prefer not to use it all the time. I think it can be done through the BIOS, but I can't find anything.
However, when going into Device Manager, I saw that I could also disable the device by right-clicking on it. Do you think that will solve my problem?
Thank you in advance.

Unfortunately, I tried and it didn't work. I disabled the GPU via Device Manager, then rebooted the PC, but I still have my GPU working with the display linked to the GPU and not to the motherboard...
It is not the PCI-Express port that you will have disabled, but the GPU. I don't see the point. If your CPU has an IGP, the solution might be to go enable it in the BIOS and plug the screen into the motherboard.

Hello, apparently no graphics chipset

Hi,
If you can't see anything, you look silly there, because the video must be going through somewhere :/
What if you cleaned and oiled your fan instead?

Hi, thanks for your help.
I won't have any display anymore, but I just need to unplug my HDMI from my GPU and plug it directly into the motherboard, right? I had another PC and since I didn't want to use my GPU anymore, I physically removed it (which I would like to avoid now), then I used the HDMI port on the motherboard and that was enough.
Regarding the cleaning, my setup is brand new. It’s not even a week old. I didn't know that such a powerful setup would be this loud. I'm using an AMD Ryzen 9 3950X + NH-D15 + Asus TUF GAMING X570-PLUS + RTX 3090.

You have just been told that the Ryzen 9 3950X, like the majority of Ryzen processors, does not have an IGP (integrated graphics processor). The video outputs on your motherboard, not being connected to a graphics processor, are inoperative. If you plug your screen into them, whether or not a dedicated graphics card is present, you will receive a "No signal".
