Bug on WhatsApp and restoration impossible

Hello everyone,
I had a bug yesterday on WhatsApp that crashed and deleted all my conversations.
I tried to restore with the local backups (I must have tried the last 7 saves, modifying the names each time as indicated on the WhatsApp site) but the phone cannot recover, it freezes at 44% and tells me recovery impossible.
I'm on a Huawei Mate 20 Pro, I don't think that's the issue, my partner has the same one and has no problems.
Do you have a solution, via PC or Mac, or directly from the phone, to recover my messages?

You could try the solutions below to resolve your WhatsApp restoration issue:
- Check your network connection.
- Make sure your phone has enough storage space.
- Update WhatsApp to the latest version.
If the above solutions do not work, it is recommended to use another method to restore your WhatsApp, such as restoring WhatsApp with dedicated software. Or recover your WhatsApp conversations with a data recovery tool.

Thank you for the information. For the first three tips, I got everything right (unless the app is no longer updated on Huawei via the Play Store, but I doubt it).
As for the recovery software, I've tried two, but each time they were free versions that don't allow much. If you have any advice on that, I'd be interested.
