Hello.
One of my 3 Gigaset handsets (2 A510, 1 A540) is no longer functioning.
It does not receive calls and it’s impossible to make one (no dial tone). When dialing, the number quickly returns to the phone's home screen.
Additionally, while I have access to all menus (directory, voicemail, etc.), when I try to access the settings menu, the handset also returns to the home screen.
For your information: when I turn off or remove the batteries from the handset, it successfully reconnects to the base upon reboot. The other two handsets (1 A510 and 1 A540) are working fine, and the base is that of an A510).
I’ve been searching... but I can’t find a solution!
Hoping someone might have an idea? Thank you in advance!

Hello,
if you don't have a dial tone when you pick up the receiver, it means you don't have a line... so you can't make a phone call.
-- Is it a phone plugged into a wall socket...? or behind an internet BOX...?
-- Has it ever worked? Is it due to a move...? or to a second home that was empty all winter...?
The base must be connected first to the phone line, whether it's wall-mounted or in a BOX...
And etc... there are plenty of things to know to understand..-
Hello, and first of all, thank you for taking the time to respond to me.
The cordless handset is on the charger, it is "paired" with the base (it reconnects to it systematically, retrieves the time etc. each time it is turned off and restarted).
It has worked perfectly since its purchase, in a continuously occupied residence and with no changes in installation or internet service provider since its purchase.
Aside from the lack of dial tone, the fact that I cannot access the settings menu is concerning. This is not due to a bad connection in the handset since the button works and allows access to all other menus.

In the first analysis, I lean towards tired batteries, unable to provide the necessary energy. Therefore, I invite you to perform the following manipulation..
- remove the batteries from this problematic A510.
- exchange them with those from one of the two other handsets that are working.
IF the issue moves to another handset, then it is time to replace those end-of-life batteries with new ones.

The 3rd screen at the top shows the reception signal from the base (strong) and the battery (full).
Below, there is a drawing of the handset with an X and a 25 below it, then lower down, the banner with "bis" and "menu".
PS: The other 2 handsets (which are working) have the same display.

The radio link between the base and the handset seems good
Is it the icon highlighted in yellow next to it that is present?
Not the one just below?
If you briefly press the "Paging" button on the base, does this handset ring like its "friends"?
As for the phone icon with X and 25, it means you have had 25 missed calls which should disappear when you open the call log.

Good evening.
That's the right icon and it is exactly identical to the others.
I hadn't done the "paging" test, the result is surprising.
The 2 other handsets ring and the green call button lights up.
On the faulty handset, the green button lights up briefly, with the same message "searching for handset" but turns off immediately while the others continue to ring until one of them is pressed.

Excuse my intrusion; but I also bet on the battery that no longer has enough juice..
You first need to check what is written on it in .......mA, one may not be like the others... or maybe it has aged and no longer performs...
The voltage may be good on the voltmeter, and the current drops as soon as we ask for a bit of power.
The charger may also be charging poorly..?
I would add that many problems with various aspects have this cause at the start, even in cars.
