Hello,

I'm reaching out to you because for the past 3 days, when I log into some websites (like se loger.... or le bon coin for example), a new page opens up (see attached file)
that I've never seen before! I haven't changed anything in my browser (recent update), nothing in my applications or anything else. I thought I might have caught something nasty, so I ran scans and deleted what was detected, but it happened again!
It's the first time I've seen this!!
Does anyone have any idea, please? Have you experienced this before? It's quite annoying, and I don't know where it comes from.

First, reset Firefox:

Far from being a virus, it’s a captcha robot that requires verification.
It’s not the first or the last time that some websites offer this, even though I was also surprised on the site in question.

I understand that this is a 'bot' to prevent massive automated actions for malicious purposes.... but even the description of what is observed that justifies this display seems more targeted than when there is this "usual" request by websites to protect themselves...

In short, I could be wrong, but in doubt......

The feature may have evolved...

I haven't had to use it... it would indeed deserve to be confirmed, one way or another....

I received the message from you last week and today it is not requested.

In the worst case, clear the cache of Firefox.

Hi pistouri,

Since she mentions "removed dirt"... we can assume that the disinfection carried out may not have been complete...
And it doesn't really resemble the issues related to cookies and messages concerning GDPR...

Anyway, this is said without certainty either... but a more in-depth analysis of her machine might not be superfluous
(hence the move I made)

For your information, I’m adding to my post that I just cleared the cache and recent history, restarted, and it’s still the same. However, when I connect to the same sites using Chrome and Edge, it doesn’t happen. So it’s coming from the Firefox browser. To respond to MPMP10, I already ran Malwarebytes and AdwCleaner; I started with that. Thanks for the tip.

You should also update Firefox...

What I do regularly, thank you. Well, I'm not excited about the idea of resetting the browser, it makes me a bit sad, it's a bit tedious to do.... :-(
Question: If I reset Firefox, will my extensions and themes be lost or will they remain?

On the CCM sheet:
- Removal of all installed extensions (active or inactive).

As for the themes, I don't know...

After that, the ResetBrowser program takes care of everything, so nothing tedious...

Hi,
So I just tried the other site, classic browsing, same thing, but in private browsing nothing, this page does not appear. Indeed, there must be something with the browser, on the classic page, it says "something in your browser's behavior has intrigued us", so there must be a bug, or what do I know......
I’m going to reset Firefox, do I need to download ResetBrowser?

Hello,

Disable all your extensions and enable them one by one to try to find the culprit.
Do a test each time on Le Bon Coin for example.

Re,
So I followed your advice, I had to try several times because it didn't work every time;
But it actually worked every time I logged in after another site, I would open FB for example, and on that same page I would switch to the BC and there again the page. So I disabled everything and after some attempts to be sure I found the culprit: "user agent switcher", which I deleted, hoping that the issue doesn't come back and that was indeed it.... apparently yes..... In any case, if it comes back, I will follow the advice to reset Firefox, and I will get back to you.
