Avast Secure Browser uses the same sources as Google Chrome, so it might be the same solutions...
Have you searched the History? You never know if you've used that bookmark recently...

No, it was a file full of bookmarks and it goes back a long time, so it would take too long to find them. And I don't think it will work since the bookmarks that are on Avast are not on Chrome when I open it.

No, of course, the favorites from Avast Secure Browser are not "IN" Google Chrome but are stored in the same way, unless you use Chrome with a Google account (storing favorites in the cloud)...
If it's a complete favorites folder that's lost, that's more problematic.
We can never repeat enough the benefits of backups.
