Yes, it downloaded and installed fine.
When I click on the blue "Audio," nothing happens.
I tried right-clicking and opening it in a new tab or page, but it automatically closes.

Have you tried with another browser?

    Hello

So, I have installed the driver and followed the procedures from message 34. I restarted.
What should I do now? If I understood the previous messages correctly, I need to reinstall "conexant"???

Is there a risk that the problem will come back?
Should I create a restore point just in case?
Or simply, why not leave it in this state (with the "generic high definition audio" device)??

In audio, video and game controllers, is it indeed Conexant Audio that is displayed?

    Try the manual installation again:
    Go to Device Manager
    Sound, video and game controllers
Right-click on the --> high definition audio device
    Update driver
    Browse my computer for drivers
Choose from a list of drivers...
    Have Disk
    Browse
Go to the folder of the unzipped audio driver from message 34 ( Audio) --> 152ef966......
Select the file --> G14Plmwa.inf and OK.
    Restart.

    Hello
    Don't you think that...
To be honest, what you think doesn't really have a place here since you're asking for help!
    So please stop thinking.
Updated drivers sometimes behave "worse" than previous ones, but if you install an older driver that satisfies you, you will need to stop updating your Windows if you want to keep it.
So forcing a system update on your machine won't solve your issue.

Instead, take a look at the manufacturer's support for your machine; you can find older drivers that can be installed by right-clicking on the device in Device Manager, then Update, Browse my Computer.
Packages (exe, zip) must be extracted to a folder beforehand to be used. Do not install the drivers if they are in exe format. Using a tool like 7zip portable is very helpful in this case.

    See you!
