Hello,
I'm trying to extract .zip files using WinRAR, and I do this quite often, but since the last time I used WinRAR (about 2 weeks ago), I'm getting an error message when I drag and drop my compressed file into the folder where I want to extract it. The error message:
! Unable to create folder C:\Users\admin\AppData\Local\Temp\Rar$DRa5372.31483
Access denied.
Thank you in advance for your responses ;)

The "Temp" folder, I know it but I wouldn't be able to explain it to you properly, so visit Malekal's site which will be better suited to explain it to you... https://www.malekal.com/dossier-temp-fichiers-temporaires-windows/

Hello,
Why not use the classic method... Extract to... (you indicate the destination path)

Thank you very much, at least I learned something. However, I can't even find the Appdata folder...

It is present but hidden.
Windows Explorer, in the toolbar, View, hidden items --> check it to show/hide it.

This is what I told myself.
However, I am still running Windows 7, so if you have any idea where to display hidden folders on this OS, I'm all ears.-
Hello,
I am now on Windows 10.
Go to this link instead... https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/view-hidden-files-0320fe58-0117-fd59-6851-9b7f9840fdb2
Use the 3rd method that seems to correspond to Windows 7.
Consider upgrading to Windows 10 (Windows 7 has not been updated since January 14, 2020) by using a USB drive... https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10 Download the "Media Creation Tool".
Do not plan to upgrade from Windows 7 to Windows 10. Generally, the drivers for installed devices do not work.
