Hello everyone. Today I received a new 4K IPS panel and when I connect it via DisplayPort, I'm stuck at 30Hz and can't switch to 60Hz as it should. In the Windows settings and in the NVIDIA settings, I can't set the refresh rate above 30Hz, either 29.97Hz or 30.00Hz. In the NVIDIA control panel, the "Display" menu, which is where you can change the refresh rate, is also missing, and the drivers for my RTX 3080 are up to date (v471.11). Also, I don't see an option in my monitor settings to switch from 30Hz to 60Hz. My monitor is a SAMSUNG LU28R550UQUXEN UHD Monitor.

OK, so what..? does it work or not..?
And your processor..? does it do graphic processing..? or preprocessing...
I would have thought it needed to connect to the graphics card.. Otherwise, what's it for..?

Hello,
It could be a technical issue related to the connection cable, or even the socket of the cable.

Hello Jeannets. Actually, I just saw that it's not a DisplayPort cable but an HDMI cable that's labeled Ultra Premium High Speed/HEC (the one provided with the screen). I'm sorry for saying it was DisplayPort, but since this is new to me, seeing DisplayPort once on my screen in Sources and then another time in HDMI 1, I thought I was using DisplayPort. I want to clarify that the HDMI cable is connected from the screen to the motherboard (ASUS Prime Z590-A) and not to the GPU.
I finally solved the problem. In fact, from the beginning, I was connecting my HDMI cable from the monitor to the motherboard instead of the GPU. I wasn't plugging it into the GPU because when I tried to connect it to the GPU the first few times, the HDMI cable wouldn't fit, but I tested it again now and it fits without any issues for some reason. That's why I wasn't getting 60fps.
A+++
