Here’s what I usually respond on this topic:
When it comes to applications, manufacturers and distributors do what they want. Personally, I have an LG. At first, I had an Orange app that gave access to many radio stations, but it was removed without warning during an update. For catch-up TV, I had Pluzz (public service catch-up) and Arte +7, which are also gone. As for MyTF1, I only have the paid VOD option. On the M6 replay site, I'm asked to download a "player," but "download impossible." It's all a matter of agreements with the app owners and the TV brand, all about money, so these TVs are not that smart, huh? ...;-(
And Arte came back a while ago... go figure...
