Error 100016 Epson Scan Error E 02

Hello,
Following a paper jam, my Epson XP-3100 printer is showing a scanner error E-02. Please consult your documentation 100016?
It starts up fine, the ink cartridge carriage makes one or two back-and-forth movements, then the error appears and blocks all printer functions!
I can't find any support from Epson!!
