Is it possible to save or record a formula that you created
in the formula toolbar (where the formula themes are located)?

Formulas==>define a name and you can call it throughout your workbook

You go to Formulas==>define a name
You give it a name, for example Ma_Recherche
and in the "refers to" field you paste your formula.

Strange, by the way, your formula!
Is it an array formula?
Otherwise, it only looks for A2, and why the whole sheet?
At most, you only need 2 columns.
And as an argument 0 at the end, are you looking for an approximate value?

It should have been:

=VLOOKUP($A2,'VOL CODE'!$A:$B,2,1)

it looks for the exact value of A2 in the second column of the 'VOL CODE' sheet

The matrix is done by another person in a received file.
I make do with the formulas that have already been created and sometimes I have difficulty understanding their meaning; I tinker to get the formula to work by trial and error.
And I call on CMM when I can't manage!
