Hello, I bought a TCL 32S510 TV yesterday at a CARREFOUR store. I was surprised during the setup as it has limited pre-installed applications. It is impossible to access the Google Play Store to install the desired applications. It's just astounding for a 2020 product at the same price as other TCL models like the 32ES580 which has a Play Store interface... If I put the applications on a USB drive in .apk format, the TV doesn't read them... I don't know what to do anymore... thank you for your insights...

Hello

A frequently asked question.

What is the difference, for all brands, between Smart and/or Android TVs?
Smart TV (a term reduced to connected TV by manufacturers) is the connected television and is only on a "proprietary" system, so you are completely dependent on the brand.

"Android TV" is built on an Android model, and there you have access to the Play Store (but that doesn't mean that all apps are compatible).

In short, aside from changing your TV, you have no solution.

Best regards

Thank you for your feedback. So I have no solution other than to buy an Android box... I’m therefore losing the benefit of having bought a smart TV... The worst part is that the seller assured me that this model was similar to other TCL models which are on the Play Store...

Well, this seller knows nothing, like most sellers.
However, this deserves to be brought back to them; if the seller is honest, he has told you something that is a lie, it’s his responsibility.
It is up to him to provide you with a product that meets your request.

Because buying a case, yes, but that’s not the goal.
Personally, I never rely on sellers, or I specify to them that I'm buying for a certain reason and that if the product does not meet that request, I will come back with it. And generally, they tend to be less sure of themselves and check.
