Hello,
After reinstalling Windows 7 on my MEDION laptop, I wanted to install .NET Framework directly from the Microsoft website. The problem is that once I start the installation, I get this message: .NET Framework installation failed. A certificate chain was processed but it terminated in a root certificate that is not trusted by the trust provider.
I would like to know how to proceed with the installation,
I have been stuck on this issue for a few hours, I have looked on several websites, but when the topics start to talk about Windows certificates or others, the discussions become too complicated and I lose track. I am looking for a way to complete the installation and, if possible, to continue using my PC without encountering similar problems in the future.
I don't know if this is related, but I can't seem to synchronize my PC with time.windows.com to have the time set to internet time.
Thank you for your understanding and thank you in advance for your prompt response.
Best regards.

hi
After reinstalling Windows 7 on my MEDION laptop
is your W7 activated?
is SP1 installed?
have you done all the updates (+ or - 250)?
I don't know if it matters, but I can't make my PC synchronize with time.windows.com so that the time matches the internet..
did you set the time and date in the BIOS?
if yes, do both stay set correctly when you restart the PC?
check this page for update issues with W7 --> click here
PS: when your PC is up to date, you know that you can still "migrate" to W10 for free
