Hello, I would like to know how to remove the small squares that appear on my photos, videos, and music when I go to the explorer and click on any of them. Thank you in advance.

Hello,
What do you mean by squares that are embedded? On the icons? Directly on the photos?
Please be more specific.
At first glance, I would say it's the shortcut symbol on the file thumbnail... But, it's not clear.

Reading the responses is good... Replying to them afterwards, out of courtesy, is better...

Hello,
If your little squares are like this:
then it is called a QR code. If your files are downloaded files, the QR code is added by the download software. To stop having them, you generally need to purchase the software before downloading the file, rather than using the free version.
If it is something else, please provide us an image as an example.

Hello fermiparadox, I'm back to tell you that I found a solution and possibly it might help others. To remove the blue and green squares that appear on image, video and music folders, you need to go into Norton, then settings, then backup settings, and there uncheck: backup status overlay, and everything will go back to normal. Thanks again for your advice.
