Hello,
I know there's already a similar topic, but there's a specific example.
I have an Excel file with 5 tabs, one of these tabs feeds into another tab; the other three are independent and contain no formulas (only text).
However, every time I save it, I get the famous phrase "one of the formulas in this spreadsheet contains one or more invalid external references"
I've already checked all my formulas, but I can't find the problem.
Do you know any tricks to find the error???
Thank you for your help!

Hello,
You need to go to the sheet that contains the references and then select "Tools" in the menu, followed by "Error Checking".
This should normally allow you to see which cell contains the error.
Then, if there are multiple errors, click on "Next" to go to the next error.
Do this for all 5 sheets.
See you later

Best regards,
I have a file with about ten tabs in Excel 2010.
In one tab, the message: "one of the formulas in this worksheet contains one or more invalid external references. Please check that the path, workbook, range name, and cell references in all formulas are correct." appears.
I have already:
- checked for errors in each tab
- manually checked each formula in the tab
==> Do you have any idea how I could resolve this?
Thank you in advance for your help. Séb
How did you do it?
I have the same problem, it would be interesting if you could share your solution, Seb.
Also, consider checking your charts, there may be a reference error in one of your charts. You then need to look at each chart one by one to spot the error.
