    To type an uppercase Ë (ALT + 0203), hold down the ALT key and then type 0203 (the four digits) on the numeric keypad. ALT codes do not work with the row of numeric keys at the top. To type a lowercase ë (ALT + 0235), change the code from 0203 to 0235.

    If the spell checker hasn’t been blocked, and if the French language remains selected, the word 
    Noel
    will be underlined in red and the correct spelling is suggested when you right-click on it, just like in Word ...
