Nvidia audio haute définition

Hello,

I'm having a problem with the audio output from my PC via HDMI to my TV running Windows 7. Everything was working fine until the end of December when a Windows update prevented me from selecting the HDMI TV audio device as "default." I uninstalled the audio device from the Nvidia GeForce 560Ti, which has been reinstalled, but I can't use it. There are no volume levels on the right side, unlike the computer's sound card. I'm unable to update the Nvidia graphics driver, which no longer wants to install. All information indicates that the "device is working properly," but that's no longer the case. Has anyone experienced a similar problem? I should mention that I've tried all the solutions proposed on the forums. I'm starting to wonder if my Windows 7 took a hit, but there's no way I'm uninstalling to reinstall Windows, especially since the backup is on another partition and I therefore don't have an installation CD. Hello, have you tried uninstalling all audio devices and then restarting and attempting to reinstall the audio drivers (via DriversCloud or SDI in particular)?

Good evening, Jumulka, thank you for your response. I uninstalled the Nvidia High Definition Audio driver, and thus uninstalled the Nvidia Audio which reinstalled itself after restarting. I have Audacy on the computer. Do you think this could have an impact? (For info, Audacy stopped working after a Windows update. It only started working again after another update). The audio driver that reinstalled was found via the Windows Update option and not the one that was already on the computer. That said, even the one that was on the computer didn't fix anything. The update "NVIDIA - Display - 3/23/2018 12:00:00 AM - 23.21.13.9135" has never wanted to install. The same goes for the version that Nvidia was kind enough to send me. Several script errors. Finally, since I uninstalled the audio driver, when this driver reinstalled itself upon restarting the computer, the little lines corresponding to the "levels" of the High Definition Audio never reappeared.

audacity? No, I don’t think that’s the cause.

(it's slightly different on Windows 7 for the first method; it’s “no, I prefer to choose manually” and choose to never install via Windows Update.

Then uninstall, restart, and install the Nvidia driver. If it doesn't want to install, uninstall your Nvidia graphics card and reinstall it. You can try this driver > https://www.nvidia.fr/download/driverResults.aspx/132874/fr

@jumulka: I updated by selecting only to update the driver through Nvidia without going through Windows. It successfully uninstalled the High Definition Audio, but after the update and restart, I now have 2 HDMI TV screens, one of which does not mention the "levels" option in "properties," but still no sound. In "Hardware and Sound, Sound, Adjust System Volume," in "Volume Mixer," when I try to change the device and choose the TV instead of speakers, I get the message: "No audio device is installed." I had enabled the option for computer sound to TV in the BIOS of my DELL before having this issue, but now I can't find that option in the BIOS to check if it might have "disappeared."

So, according to you, I need to go to the control panel, hardware and sound, devices and printers, device manager, sound, video and game controllers, and there I have 4 Nvidia High Definition Audio. The HDMI from the TV is found on slot 1 (internal high definition audio bus). What do you recommend: completely uninstalling slot 1 via the "action, uninstall" option, or would you right-click on slot 1, properties, driver, uninstall the driver? If I completely uninstall slot 1, will it reinstall itself after a reboot? Thanks in advance for your help.

I advise you to uninstall the 4, in the graphics card section, to also uninstall, and in Windows > settings > apps, uninstall everything related to NVIDIA.
