Is the "Reset SW" connector really essential?

Hello, I recently changed my case and the "Reset SW" connector seems to be defective; the motherboard lights up the red CPU LED when it is connected (I tried both ways) but the PC starts up without any problems when it is disconnected.
So I wanted to know if there is any risk in using my PC without connecting this connector.

Hello,
I see you've opened another post, as my colleague told you, there’s no risk in not connecting the "reset sw" button. If it works like that, no worries ;).
But if you really want, send your defective unit back to your supplier as it's still under warranty.
Have a good evening.
Talk to you later.

Thank you for your response. I had opened another thread before receiving his reply, but since I opened it without creating an account, I couldn't close it ^^
