Install 2 SSDs in a laptop

Hello,
I hope to get some help.

I'm trying to find out if it's possible to install, in addition to an already existing 128GB SSD on a laptop, another 500GB SSD. Are there 2 slots for SSDs, and can there be 2 in the same laptop?

Another question: in a PC that comes with a 1TB HDD + a 128GB SSD, is it possible to replace the 1TB HDD with a second 500GB SSD?

Thank you in advance for your insights.
Rafael.

Configuration: iPhone / Safari 13.0.3

    Hello :)

For the first question, generally, there is only one slot in a laptop, but there may be two; I would need the laptop's model number :)

For the second question, no, it's not possible because it's not the same connector.

    Have a nice day :)

Thank you very much for your response.

So I deduce that even if a PC has 2 hard drive slots, it will not be possible to install 2 SSDs; it will always be one HDD slot and one SSD slot?

And for my second question, is it really not possible to install an SSD in place of an HDD in a PC that has both HDD and SSD due to the connectivity? Is there no way to change the connectivity to have 2 internal SSDs?

Thank you and have a nice day ;)

Hello, no, the HDD and SSD slots are identical in terms of size.

What do you mean? If they are the same size, then it's not possible?

It depends on the connection type of the second slot and that of the SSD.

So, in the case of a PC that comes with a 1TB HDD and a 128GB SSD by default, as you suggest, yes, the HDD can be replaced with an SSD of the same size or larger.

Sure, thanks! Is the operation complicated? I imagine that you have to change the connectors then?

no, not necessarily, you need to check what is needed before buying or not.

For the connectivity, it is necessary to know if the SSD is SATA or M.2.
