PS4 shuts down with Fortnite.

I'm having the same issue, my PS4 won't launch Fortnite. It gets stuck on loading and the only way to unfreeze it is to turn it off by unplugging it...
Minecraft runs perfectly on my PS4, no bugs at all.
I bought my PS4 in November 2018 and until now, it had zero bugs...
Does anyone have a solution please, I'm feeling depressed...

A friend had exactly the same problem as us and he solved it by resetting his PS4.

My PS4 is doing the same thing, but I've noticed that it started after the system update for the PS4, and then Fortnite asked me to do an update as well within the hour following the system update. Hello everyone, for my part, I had this problem and I unplugged the hard drive, blew on it and in the slot (I don't know if it did anything but I did it????)
I plugged it back in and it worked like a charm

I have the same problem when I update a game too, and I think the hard drive isn't powerful enough to run Fortnite; the update and the system cause it to crash, and it started when I changed the hard drive of my PS because the original one died after my father unplugged it during updates when in rest mode.

Hi, I had the same problem. I deleted one or two games and it works again.

I've had the same problem with Fortnite and I just fixed it. I had installed WARZONE but I only had 20GB of free space left. I cleared some space and it works again.

I had to replace my internal hard drive that had given up... indeed, I think I left my PS4 on for too long (at least 2 days non-stop) to update, which may have caused it to fail. I was able to buy a 1TB internal hard drive at Carrefour for €59.99, which is much cheaper than the €150 PlayStation warranty.
I don’t know if my PS4 still works as well as before because I sold it to finally get a PS5. But after playing it for 2 weeks post-repair, it was working very well.
Try it; maybe that’s where the issue is coming from. Especially since if you open the box properly and that’s not the problem, you can return the product at Carrefour ????
