Freebox remote control

Hello,

My remote control is not working anymore, so I can't find the remote code. The Free remote control app tells me "no Freebox detected," even though the app was working a few days ago.

Hello, excuse me for bothering you. I just tried it; it is only available on Android, and I'm pressing the buttons but nothing happens; my Free isn't turning on.

I probably misunderstood your problem.

The Freeteuse app turns your smartphone (Android) into a Free remote control.
You need to be connected to Wi-Fi for it to work.
And, if I remember correctly, there's no code to provide.

Given the situation, I advise you to reset the Player (hard reset) and the Server.

(What is the model of the box?)

Freebox Revolution how do I reset it, which box do I need to disconnect (I'm not familiar with it)?

if your problem is the same as mine (Freebox powered on, but the FREE remote control does not work)

I checked the batteries, but that’s not the issue

I applied this --> https://free.fr/assistance/2574.html

you just need to press the reset button for 1 to 2 seconds, and press the FREE+AV buttons to re-associate the remote control

for me, it worked

I also have the Revolution but I've never heard of a remote control for the box! I have one for the player (TV box), the one in the photo below, yes, but that's it! That said, I have an older Revolution, there might be a more recent series!
Otherwise, the one I have can be replaced, either from the Free store or by calling them, or by purchasing one, but also through an app on the phone as you were informed, in which case the phone serves as a remote control in the meantime
In your case, you probably need to re-associate the remote control with the TV, or rather the player!

this is indeed the remote I'm talking about, the one for the WebPlayer

and indeed, there are no others

PS: I don't know why the remote got disconnected from the WebPlayer, but I resolved the issue with the steps described in my response

Yes, I have the same remote control. I'm having trouble distinguishing regarding my Free; it's an old one, I've had it for at least 7 years, it's not recent and it's not working, so I can't access the Free menu since my remote control isn't functioning anymore, and the app doesn't detect my Free.

the buttons are on the remote control

unplug the WebPlayer electrically for 15 seconds and plug it back in, you should have the Free menu

PS: request a new remote control from Free via Face to Face --> click here

Good evening,

I continue with the same idea.
Since there is no operational Free remote control anymore, the only hope of getting the Player to work is to use a smartphone as a remote with an appropriate app. I suggested Freeteuse, which works well.

The Freebox menu should already be displayed on the TV.

If not, the Player needs to be reset (and possibly the Server)

Check the connections and if there are no results, you will need to contact Free to obtain another remote control. But I am really not sure that it is just a remote control problem.

Thank you very much, I unplugged a cable from the player to reconnect the Free menu, it’s displayed directly.
