Good evening
My PC is telling me that Windows Defender is out of date. Am I no longer protected against viruses?
Can I update it, and how, or should I install another antivirus?
Thank you for sharing your experiences and helping me.
Best regards.

I think I no longer have antivirus protection since Windows Defender is expired. So I need to install a new antivirus, or is it possible to reactivate Defender? Thank you for your response.

        Hello
        Windows Defender does not expire
        Updates are automatic
Look rather at the bottom right of the taskbar, to see if it is not disabled
        It should look like this:

Give a screenshot of the message "expired."

I can't take a screenshot. It says "the definitions of protection are outdated" and when I click on update, it just spins and nothing happens. On the defender logo, there's a yellow triangle with a black exclamation point.

To check your computer for potential infections and get an overall system status:

Follow the FRST tutorial by clicking on this blue link. (take the time to read carefully - everything is well explained).

Download and run the FRST scan,
Wait for the scan to finish, a message will indicate that the analysis is complete.

Three FRST reports will be generated:
    • FRST.txt
    • Shortcut.
    • Additionnal.txt

Send these 3 reports to the site https://pjjoint.malekal.com/ and in return provide the 3 pjjoint links here in a new response so that we can review them.

(The blue links lead to step-by-step explanatory tutorials, click on them for more precise instructions to follow).
