Mouse pointer offset in Excel

Hello,
In Excel, when I point to the top of a column to select it entirely, my cursor goes outside the frame to select it and highlight it. When I select text, there is also an offset and I have to guesstimate by clicking a bit higher and to the right than where I should normally click. Is this a calibration issue or something like that, and how can I resolve it?
Does anyone know why this is happening to me? It's annoying and costs a lot of time.
