Hello,
I recently acquired a Brother MFC-J491DW printer and I replaced the original ink cartridges (after they were worn out) with so-called compatible cartridges. The printer worked normally for a while but now it shows "ink detection failed" and therefore printing has become impossible. Is there a solution to fix this issue? Thank you in advance for your help.

Good evening,
Some brands recommend "their" cartridges, Brother among others, and take no responsibility when problems arise.
You can try to remove these cartridges, turn off the printer, disconnect it from the power and the PC, press and hold the power button for about ten seconds, then reverse the operations.
If it works again, great; if not, see the first response in this topic!
Best regards
