Nvidia display settings missing in control panel

Hi, yes I have it. My problem is not about not having access to the control panel. I just don't have the display settings that are shown in the NVIDIA control panel. The display tab is simply nonexistent.

Check if your screen is properly connected to your Nvidia graphics card at the bottom, not to your motherboard at the top.

And make sure the Nvidia services are running, even if they don’t have to be set to Automatic; I set all of them to Manual.

Right-click on the Start button > Run: services.msc

In Start > Run: services.msc Nvidia Display Container LS, Nvidia LocalSystem Container, and Nvidia NetworkService Container are set to Auto, Auto, and Manual. To check if the screen is properly connected to my Nvidia graphics card, I don't know how to do it.

I forgot to mention that it's a X751L laptop and my graphics card is a Nvidia GeForce 840M.

So it's linked to the card for sure.

Just need to see if the services are running: Started

And start them if they're not.

Then restart the Nvidia panel.

But just out of curiosity, why do you want to go into the Nvidia panel settings?

Normally, the default options are fine.

I want to access it because I haven't been able to duplicate the screen of my laptop for weeks. I've been searching for various solutions without any success; there are no device options in the PC customization settings or anywhere else. I've decided to check the Nvidia settings, and there I see that I only have the 3D settings available; the Nvidia display settings do not exist in the Nvidia control panel.

The screen I want to duplicate my PC to is a BenQ XL2411P; even on the PC itself, clicking on project doesn't work, while it works on my second laptop.

I have never connected a second screen, so it might be hard for me to help you.

But I once had an old monitor and an old projector, and they needed to be plugged in and turned on before starting the PC.

I tried on a second screen that I also have, and I can't duplicate the screen either. Do you suggest connecting via HDMI, turning on the screen, and restarting the PC?

You wouldn't lose much by trying.

When you right-click on the desktop > Display settings > Display

You have Detect at the bottom and it doesn’t detect anything if I understand correctly, that would be the place where I would logically go.

Otherwise, I don’t know, besides changing the Nvidia driver, I don’t know if it will just be a waste of time.

Or reinstalling Windows, but that would be a waste of time too.

I have already done all of that and nothing has worked, the PC is not detected and the PC does not detect anything either.
