Hello,
I have an Acer tower with a Core i5 and a GeForce GT 320 graphics card with 2 screens for electronic CAD work.
For some time now, when I use software that requires graphics rather than calculations, the screens turn off while the PC seems to keep running. It is possible to turn it off blindly using the keyboard.
I think my graphics card is getting a bit worn out. I am considering replacing it with a more recent one. It's a half-height card (about 7cm). What would you recommend?
Thank you in advance
Sincerely
Configuration: Windows / Firefox 72.0

Hello,
So I don't know if it's the graphics card, but all I can tell you is that the GT-320 is EXTREMELY OLD (whether it's a graphics card issue or not, it definitely needs to be replaced)!
What price range are you looking for your new graphics card?

Good evening,
Thank you for your response. A hundred euros seems to me a fair price.
What can you recommend to me?

100€ is little now, well it depends on your usage.
For a use geared towards office work, software, etc., the graphics card is not essential but rather the processor so I would recommend a GTX 970, it's not very recent but for the current price and its use, it's a very good deal!
It is currently available for 44.75€ instead of 89.50€ on Cdiscount and payment in 4 installments is also available :)

Thank you,
but on Cdiscount, the delivery time for the GTX 970 is 5 to 7 weeks. and I don't think it's a low profile card.
At Boulanger, there is a GT 1030 available and in low profile.
Best regards.

Hello,
A GT1030 will easily do the job, it is much more powerful than the GT320.
However, you need to make sure that it is recognized by the system and compatible with the Acer motherboard. Less certain.
Moreover, it doesn’t require additional power (except for a few rare models) and it is easily available in mini-ITX and low profile formats.
