Hello everyone who can understand my gibberish ^^
Everything is said in the title, I have a modular power supply with a 6 pin connector and my graphics card requires an 8 pin cable, so I would like to know if I order a 6+2 pin to 8 pin cable, is it possible to connect the 6 pin without the +2 to my power supply and the 8 to my card, or could that cause problems?
Because I tried to find a 6 pin to 8 pin cable but it's almost impossible to find and it often comes from China, so yeah ????
Thanks in advance for your answers!

Hi...
First of all, an 8-pin connector and a 6+2 pin connector are the same connector, there is no 8-pin connector where the 6 pins are not separable from the last two, this is to maintain backward compatibility with older graphics cards.
The two additional pins (2 pin) allow for more current delivery.
So you need to use a 6 pin to 6+2 or 8 adapter, it's the same connector, just the name changes.
It often comes from China, so well ????
Where do you expect it to come from? The electronics/computing industry is in China, like many other fields... you can't escape it.
Power supply and the 8 to my card or could it cause problems?
You need to check that your power supply is powerful enough to run the PC, taking into account the graphics card in question.

Otherwise, you can also use molex to PCIe adapters, or SATA to PCIe. But it's better to use an adapter from PCIe because molex and SATA are not necessarily designed for the high load that a GPU requires.
I don't know if your cable will work... can you provide the link to where you bought this adapter?
What is the model of your power supply? Of your graphics card?
