Hello,
For the past few days, I've noticed a problem in my device manager where the USB bus controller has a red cross on it, which explains why none of my USB devices are being detected. I noticed this issue directly in the device manager, where I had to update each driver, and there are quite a few. Every time my PC is turned off and then turned back on, I have to perform the same operation, meaning updating the drivers again. See the screenshot below.

    Hello satronicx,

    What model is your PC?
Which version of Windows are you using?
Are you on 32 bits or 64 bits?

Please provide me with the identification numbers for each piece of hardware.

    Best regards,

I don't see how I violated the charter, as I am already in communication with ChariduP, who asked me questions to which I replied, and afterwards I am waiting for a response.

    Hello,

Perform a system restore and choose a date prior to the issue.

    Windows + R
    Type --> rstrui.exe and OK.

      Hello,
thank you for your advice, but it didn't work, as the restoration points fail with every attempt
after that I wanted to do a Windows update which also doesn't work, I've tried several attempts without success. I have the software on a USB drive for Windows 10 and I also have mini Windows Mediapart on a USB stick, what worries me about restoring my PC is losing my already installed files. I also have a complete disk image of "C" but the problem is I need to reinstall my files which I'm trying to avoid.
      Thank you for your help.

      Hello
I am still here and my problems are not yet resolved. Type --> winver and OK, it didn't help, my problem persists with my USB bus controller drivers that I have to update manually each time I restart; everything works fine until the next restart. Since Windows Update isn't working either, I'm looking for a solution for Windows 10 updates.

    Run an sfc:
    Press Windows + X
Select --> Windows PowerShell (admin) or Command Prompt (admin)
Type --> sfc /scannow and hit enter

A system file check will take place.

      Hello
Thank you for your response, I found the solution by reinstalling Windows 10 without erasing all my installed software, using MiniWindows 10 and the Microsoft download tool. Everything is back to normal, thank you nonetheless for your advice.

        Hello,
could you please explain to me in detail what you did (I am really a beginner) because I have exactly the same problem as you with my USB ports and I am the same as you on Windows 10? Thank you.

    Hello,
my problem is still not resolved, despite several attempts and tinkering without success. However, what I did myself by messing around is as follows:
1- go to start -> right-click on the context menu -> device manager.
then -> right-click on the controller (yellow triangle) all the yellow triangles and do an update one by one as follows -> right-click -> update driver -> browse my computer, etc. -> choose from a list, etc... -> don't change anything on the list if you have it, and go directly to NEXT. So the driver will be updated. You need to do this for all the drivers.
Now the problem still remains since every restart I have to redo this operation. Since my PC is constantly in standby, the problem doesn't arise because my drivers don't change.
If you find a better solution, please let me know.
