Hello, I have an HP laptop that is 2 years old. For some time now, when I plug it in, it stops charging every 10 seconds or so, then starts charging again, stops charging, starts charging again...
It constantly stops by itself and starts charging by itself without me touching anything!
I don't know if it's the cable or the laptop.
Moreover, when I unplug and replug it, it charges normally and then starts its vicious cycle again. What I mean is that it still charges but interrupts every 10 seconds!
I've tried plugging it into different outlets but nothing works.
I've thought about what could have caused this problem, and it turns out that for a while I used to unplug it but not completely; basically, I would leave the plug in the computer but not fully inserted, so it wouldn't charge and wouldn't emit light. Maybe over the long term that caused a sort of loose connection or damaged something...?
Thank you for reading, I hope one of you has a solution to my problem!

Good evening
normally it should be left plugged in; if you unplug it often, it may damage the connectors behind the computer.
You can install a double socket, and when you want to sleep, you unplug the computer’s plug connected to the double socket, or buy a double socket with a switch without a light so you can turn it off without unplugging the computer’s cable connected to the double socket, or install a programmable timer to cut the power, or place it in a room other than a bedroom. It is recommended to keep electrical devices away from bedrooms and places where people might sleep due to the risk of fire while asleep.
Best regards
