Error E11 - Epson supports the buffer change

Hello,

I just encountered the E11 ink pad full error on an Epson XP520, and while browsing a forum, I learned that Epson covers the cost of replacing the pads... not believing it too much, I contacted an Epson authorized center in Lyon and... well, it's true! Epson does cover it, with a cost to you of 0€ (as long as there are genuine Epson consumables in the printer when you bring it in).

Good to know because Epson doesn't advertise this.

    Hello,

Yes, I read that too, only half believing it... I would be curious to know your feedback after this intervention...

-- I would also be curious to know if they really change the ink-saturated sponge...??
-- or if they simply erase the defect and cancel its detection..??

    Thank you in advance.

The printer was dropped off yesterday; it should be available next week, and I'll keep you updated.
However, to know if they are really changing the pads, everything would need to be disassembled, but I think they do indeed carry out an intervention, it allows Epson to claim that they are fighting against planned obsolescence.
I understand better now why there is that infamous counter that blocks printing; it's because there is no sensor to indicate that the pads are full. But since this support isn't widely advertised, many users must part with their printer.
Anyway, more to come soon, as soon as the printer is back!
